MEDFORD WOMEN’S CLINIC FERTITLITY PROGRAM is a service provided by and located at Medford Women’s Clinic. MWC’s FERTILITY PROGRAM draws upon the esteemed medical competence of Julie King, MD, FACOG and Kimberly Larson, WHCNP, RN, MSN. Together they are committed to providing high-quality care to individuals and couples with fertility problems.

WHAT IS INFERTILITY-
INFERTILITY is the failure to establish a pregnancy after one year of unprotected intercourse. If a woman keeps having miscarriages, it is also considered as infertility. For women in their 30’s, chances of becoming pregnant drop with each passing year. If conception has not occurred after six months of trying, women in this age group should consider seeking help.

WHAT CAUSES INFERTILITY-
Infertility is common. One in every five couples experiences some difficulty having a child. There are many causes, and infertility is not JUST a women’s problem. Roughly one-third of infertility cases can be attributed to male factors and another one-third to factors that affect women. For the remaining infertile couples, infertility is caused by a combination of problems in both partners (about 13 percent) or is unexplained (about 10 percent).*

LET’S GET STARTED-
Happily, the majority of couples, approximately two-thirds treated for infertility, go on to have babies. However, some treatments don’t always provide the rewards we expect, or a couple may have to seek the care of an infertility specialist requiring more invasive treatment to achieve pregnancy.
